  • ST. JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL

    DONATE TO ST. JUDE

In November 1999, Delta Delta Delta Fraternity officially adopted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as its national philanthropic partner. Since that time, Tri Delta chapters across the country have raised money and awareness for the hospital in a variety of ways. Tri Delta's most recent pledge is 15 million dollars in 5 years for the children at St. Jude. This donation is only made possible by the commitment of more than 115 Tri Delta collegiate chapters and from the support of the Tri Delta Executive Office.

A Note from Jamie Moran, 2012 Philanthropy Chair:

St. Jude Children’s Hospital is not just another philanthropy for Delta Delta Delta’s chapter at Virginia Tech. St. Jude is our cause. It’s a cause that inspires us, excites us, and most of all unites us all together. Each year we send fundraising letters to all of our family members and friends, as well as host a 3-day event called “Flapjacks & Football.” Over the past two years we have raised over $128,000 at our chapter alone. This spring we are going to Memphis, Tennessee to visit the hospital and really get to see firsthand where the money we raise is going. We are beyond excited and know that it will only strengthen our passion for this life-changing cause!

    Linkous Ladies Program

Linkous Ladies and Lads is a mentoring program partnership we have with Gilbert Linkous Elementary School. We are role models for fourth and fifth grade girls and visit them during their lunches and recesses weekly. We are so lucky to have this bond with GLE and we love seeing these young ladies become more confident!

    and the Reflections Program

The Reflections program is the first evidence-based eating disorder prevention program designed for and in collaboration with sororities. In 2005, Delta Delta Delta began a series of discussions about implementing the program at Tri Delta collegiate chapters nationwide. Throughout the process, Tri Delta sought to preserve the integrity and quality of the prevention program and to provide both leadership and academic opportunities to its members.
